AT THE END OF THE DAY WE CAN ENDURE MORE THAN WE THINK WE CAN.
We know friends are good for health. Friends celebrate good times and provide support during hard times. In times of stress, setback, or loss they can also make the good times even better. Research shows that supportive relationships can reduce stress and improve the sense of well-being.
This is why in IMKahlo we create opportunities that help build supportive networks like travel adventures and special events.
Each year we partner with the American Lung Association to either take the fire exit stairs and climb 16 floors in a building, or circle around the Miami Marlins Stadium climbing over 1,400 bleacher steps. We climb for HOPE to inspire those who endure lung disease, to celebrate life with those of us who survived, and in honor of those who passed.
Team #imKahlo represents the ALA Mission for the event and acts as LUNG FORCE representative for the state of Florida on advocacy efforts.
Travel can be inspiring, but soulful travel bonds us in sisterhood. As we shy out of familiar routines our hearts beat to their own rhythm, our feet reinvent their own path, and we welcome new lessons that come our way.
